I was on the verge of winding this website down. With the current administration fanning the flames of overt hatred and discrimination—particularly toward women and the disabled—I figured maybe it was time to quietly step back.
But then I did some reflecting (as one does), and I recently read On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder. It reminded me of something important: now is not the time to shrink.
So instead of obeying in advance, I’ve decided to stand out—boldly and unapologetically—while also tending to the roots of a grounded, private life. Onward.
